the project kindergarten was an attempt to design a number of intuitively recognizable icons for terms such as › Home ‹, › Send ‹ or › Save ‹. to achieve this i crowd sourced the most intuitive people there are: kindergarteners.
in three kindergartens, children between the ages of 3 and 6 drew symbols to match the selected terms. in a second step, the children could playfully choose their favorite symbols. through this process, the intuitive accessibility of the icons was insured two-fold.
